Protect Your Investment - Trade Show Cases

Why would you spend thousands of dollars on a trade show display and then ship it in a flimsy cardboard box? That’s the equivalent of buying a Porsche and then letting your 11 year old nephew drive it home from the dealership. Trade show cases are a great way to protect your investment without adding much cost to your exhibit booth. MODdisplays also sells cases to protect your trade show graphics, which are by far the most vulnerable part of your trade show booth display.

The cost of designing your graphics can  add up to thousands of dollars (although MODdisplays offers free graphic design service so that our clients can avoid this charge), so why not protect them with a graphics case? These cases usually cost less than $200, and most come with a lifetime warranty, so you can be sure that your system will always be protected.

The best part about trade show cases is the effect that a high quality case has on installation and dismantle personnel. When they see a display packaged roughly in a flimsy cardboard box, they tend to take less care when assembling the display because they think that it is old and probably already damaged. If they come across your exhibit and it is neatly packaged, it makes their job much easier, which means they will take more time to properly set up your booth, and they will take more care not to damage your exhibit components.

Trade Show Display Buying Guide

MODdisplays web development teams have been hard at work in recent weeks beefing up our trade show display buying guide. Our goal is to make it incredibly easy for our clients to purchase trade show booths that meet their needs, and the buying guide is a great asset that aids in the decision making process. Most online stores offer a brief product description, and MODdisplays is no different, but we try to link our simplified product descriptions to detailed articles related to the product. This enables our customers to learn as much as they want about our products.

Our biggest section within the buying guide is related to exhibit displays, but we also offer a section devoted to banner stands, display flooring, and trade show lighting. If you’re reading a product description on our website and you need more information before you can make a decision, chances are good that the information can be found in our buying guide. After all, when you’re spending thousands of dollars on a trade show display, you should know everything you can about what your are purchasing to avoid surprises.

The trade show display buying guide is one of the least used portions of our website, but we feel much better knowing that it is there for the occasional customer who wants to know much more about the product than can be learned from the basic description we provide.

Exhibiting in Las Vegas

Every year, thousands of trade shows take place in Las Vegas, Nevada. These trade shows provide companies with an incredible opportunity to make deals and learn more about their industry, but the glitz of the Las Vegas Strip can provide just as many distractions as opportunities. Making the most of a company trip to Las Vegas can present a unique challenge for trade show marketing professionals, but it can be done successfully.

The majority of trade shows and conventions take place in downtown Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Unlike most exhibit halls in the country, the Las Vegas Convention Center has very strict regulations to prevent unsafe circumstances on the show floor. Even the type of trade show lighting that can be used at the Las Vegas Convention Center is very limited due to fire restrictions put in place by the convention center management. Navigating these restrictions can be a complex process, especially for an inexperienced exhibitor.

Every company that plans to exhibit in Las Vegas should have a member of its staff carefully read the exhibitor’s handbook to get a feel for what is permitted and what is restricted. Many of the regulations are designed to prevent specific problems, and are therefore very obscure and narrowly focused. Even the smallest violation could ruin the trade show experience for a company.

The biggest challenge facing exhibitors who want to take advantage of the Las Vegas Convention Center is to avoid the distractions of the Las Vegas night life. Gambling, prostitution, and other activities unique to Las Vegas can draw booth staffers, visitors, and attendees away from their focus. It is important to keep a good balance between business and pleasure when exhibiting in Las Vegas in order to get the most from the experience.

Begin by putting restrictions on the expense accounts of your staffers. Setting defined limits can help prevent unwanted conflict as well as overspending. If the staff members are married or have children, it is often polite to provide enough funds that they can take part in the trip as well. Las Vegas trade shows could last a few weeks, and that is a long time to as your employee to be away from his or her family.

In addition to restricting the expense account for your staffers, it is a good idea to establish some ground rules regarding employee behavior. Employees should act as representatives of the company at all times, which means that drunkenness and illegal behavior should be strictly prohibited.

Generally speaking, Las Vegas trade shows are very profitable events that work well for everyone involved. It is important to be educated about the environment that faces the company so that one can make wise decisions that reflect well on the company. Sending exhibit staffers off into an unknown world can result in unexpected problems for the company.

Xpressions Displays Go Green

In an effort to keep up with the emerging green economy, the manufacturer of Xpressions displays announced today that its products can now be classified as eco-friendly. Unlike traditional pop up displays, Xpressions displays are now 100% recyclable thanks to innovations by the manufacturer. Although Xpressions displays were slower to transform into a green exhibit than many trade show displays on the market, they have taken huge steps to help the environment.

Traditional pop up display panels are made with laminated graphics and magnetic strips, and those materials cannot be recycled. Xpressions graphics are composed of 88% recycled material made from soda bottles, and the entire Xpressions system can be recycled. In addition, Xpressions displays have a much lower carbon footprint than traditional pop up displays.

Bulbs for Trade Show Lighting

At MODdisplays, we sell trade show lighting for exhibit display booths. Most exhibitors overlook trade show lights, which results in a poorly lit booth that will not work as well to attract attention. High quality trade show lights will help your trade show display stand out at the show without overwhelming your visitors and attendees.

The bulbs for most of the trade show lights we sell on our website can be purchased at your local hardware store, but we also sell them for your convenience. We sell trade show light bulbs for all the LightCraft lights and Lumina lights we sell, including 200W linear halogen bulbs and MR-16 bulbs.

If you have any questions about which bulb will work with your trade show lighting system, please contact us at 1.877.663.3976.

Trade Show Table Covers

Table covers are a great way to accent your table top display without adding much cost to your system. You can get a 6ft table cover with logo from MODdisplays for as little as $195, and a simple tension table cover for as little as $359. These are great products, and many of them can be turned around within a single business day. We understand that your company works on tight deadlines, and we work hard to meet those deadlines with quality work and great products.

If you do not have a table cover for your next trade show, you may be left with the stock show table, which is usually very unattractive. If you allow the show coordinators to determine such a key part of your look, you have allowed them to determine your entire look. We offer a wide variety of table covers that vary in size, and you can print your image on many of our table cover options at no added cost.

For more information about our table covers, or to find out which ones qualify for our lightning fast turnaround times, dial 1.877.663.3976 or contact MODdisplays.

Economy Pop Up Displays

Pop up displays have been a mainstay in the portable trade show display industry for years. Exhibitors and attendees often complain that these exhibit systems are overused, but once you understand how convenient they are to use, it makes perfect sense that they have been a favorite among exhibitors for decades. Economy pop up displays are the most affordable and durable pop up system on the market.

Every economy pop up display has a very small footprint, which saves space in your exhibit and reduces the cost of shipping and drayage. You can do a lot with your 10 x 10 display space without looking overcrowded by using one of these economy systems because they provide a very large graphic area in a small amount of space. The frame of the pop up display is also much lighter than a typical pop up display frame, but we are so confident in its strength that we offer a 100% lifetime warranty. If your pop up display frame ever breaks, send it back to us and we’ll repair or replace it at no cost to you.

An economy pop up display with graphics can be set up in as little as 10 minutes by a person who has never seen the display before. The simple instructions are included with every package, and they are all you need to get your booth set up in a matter of minutes. You don’t need any tools or special skills, all you need is a pair of hands and some time.

To purchase a pop up display from MODdisplays, visit our website or give us a call at 877.663.3976. You can also email us.

Rear Projection Systems

Every year thousands of exhibitors spend big bucks on trade show graphics. If trade show displays could be built to use rear projection systems, exhibitors could change the look of their graphic with the touch of a button instead of having to spend thousands of dollars having a graphic printed with a new image. The ability to quickly change graphics is also a great way for exhibitors to change their look quickly between business-to-business and consumer trade shows.

Many trade show displays currently use rear projection systems, with the entasi display being the most notable example. These systems allow an image to be projected from behind the display through a hole in the graphic and onto a specially designed piece of plastic that is sensitive to light. Visitors and attendees will struggle to figure out where the video is coming from.

The rear projection system for entasi displays is not perfected yet. The system only works for a small piece of plastic, and not for the entire back wall graphic. While this system allows exhibitors to change part of their message, it would be really great if there were a rear projection system that allowed them to change their entire look at the click of a button.
