Exhibit Break Down

After a long day on the trade show floor, most exhibitors are anxious to pack up their booth and get back to the hotel as quickly as possible. The rush to leave the exhibit hall, though understandable, often results in damaged hardware and dirty graphics. The time you spend breaking down your trade show exhibit could have a big impact on the life of your exhibit as well as the cost of ownership for all of your booth hardware.

When breaking down your trade show booth, the first thing you want to do is take a moment to think about the right way to pack away your exhibiting materials. Knowing that your trade show display is properly packed will help you maintain peace of mind while your system is in storage, and it will help you to set up your booth more easily at the next trade show. Many trade show displays come with detailed packing instructions (included in every display sold by MODdisplays), and using these instructions will serve to make your life much easier.

It is also important to clean your graphics when you take down your exhibit booth. Trade shows are grimy, dusty, dirty places, and by the end of the day, your trade show graphics will be covered in dirt and fingerprints. Taking a few minutes to wipe down your graphics with a mild cleaner and a dry cloth will go a long way toward helping your exhibit look good at the next expo. If you have purchased dye sublimated graphics, they can usually be thrown directly into the washing machine to get out any stubborn dirt spots.
