MODdisplays Releases Alumalite Lineare Displays

Alumalite Lineare DisplaysMODdisplays is proud to announce the release of Alumalite Lineare exhibits. This unique system will compliment our already successful line of classic Alumalite displays. Every Lineare system we sell comes complete with a hinged, backlit header system and reflector panels to create a powerful graphic presence on the top of your booth. Instead of using feet (like the classic Alumalite displays), the Lineare uses returns on both ends of the exhibit for a more finished look.

In addition to traditional Alumalite accessories (such as monitor mounts, literature holders, and product shelves), there are a number of new accessories available with the Lineare system. The counter systems have been completely redesigned for a more sleek look and easier packaging, and the side panels can be customized with slatwall, which is perfect for hanging products or promotional items.

The basic structure of the Lineare exhibit system ships in two rotomolded, wheeled cases that are 51″w x 35″l x 15″h and weigh 150lbs. The entire system can be set up using only the tools provided, which means your company can save a lot of money on labor at your next event without sacrificing the look of a unique, custom trade show booth.

If you have questions about the Alumalite Lineare, please contact our helpful staff at 877.663.3976 or email sales@moddisplays.com.

Custom Exhibits vs. Stocked Exhibits

At MODdisplays, we believe that we have found the ideal balance between custom exhibits and stocked exhibits. Using only stocked hardware, every trade show display we sell can be packaged and shipped in a matter of days, but our flexible modular exhibit lines allow for virtually limitless customization. With MODdisplays, you get the convenience and rapid turnaround times of a portable exhibit retailer with the flexibility and versatility of a custom exhibit house.

Because we can create custom-looking trade show displays from stocked exhibit hardware, we are able to keep our costs down and streamline the process of ordering exhibits online. Our catalog of stocked components is enormous, and it never stops growing. Whether you need literature shelves, monitor mounts, counter systems, light fixtures, or product shelves, we can meet your needs at affordable prices with lightning quick turnaround times.

You’re probably as tired as we are of the endless bickering between exhibit houses about whether custom exhibits or stocked exhibits are better, so why not experience the best of both worlds by purchasing your next trade show booth from MODdisplays? Call 877.MOD.EXPO or email sales@moddisplays.com for more details.

Maintaining Resolve and Improving Your Exhibiting Program

Posted by Andy Keeler on March 05, 2009
Business Information, Exhibiting Strategy, Trade Show Marketing / 3 Comments

Attendees will be drawn to your trade show booth if you consistently invest in improving your trade show marketing program year after year. Too often we find that companies are content with “just showing up”, and have all but given up on their exhibiting efforts. As a result, their exhibiting program performs more poorly each year until it is eventually removed from the company’s marketing budget. The lesson here is simple: showing up is not enough. It will be obvious to your attendees that you did not put in the effort needed to gain their interest, and your investment in trade show marketing will be worthless.

Successful exhibiting programs are usually operated by experts who understand the importance of consistency. Year after year, these companies find exciting ways to engage attendees, which keeps them coming back for more. Gimmicks and swag are not enough, you need to release new, substantive information each time you return to a show. Showing up year after year with the same product line, the same brochures, and the same ideas is a quick way to lose the interest of visitors. Each new year should maintain the overall branding message your company wants to send, but your exhibit graphics, trade show literature, and your general industry ideas should be new and fresh.

If you’re short on exhibiting ideas, one of the best ways to get your wheels turning is to attend events that are similar to the trade show where you will be exhibiting. Take special note of trade show displays that catch your eye, and try to isolate what specific features of the exhibits caught your attention. Look for ways to improve your existing booth without spending an arm and a leg. If you see graphics that catch your eye, would it be possible to re-skin your exhibit with new graphics? If a particularly well lit environment drew your attention, you could purchase additional trade show lights to spruce up your booth. Remember that the best improvements to your marketing program will be substantive improvements, not cosmetic improvements, so take particular note of exhibiting strategies or marketing programs that catch your eye, and try to glean what you can from them.

Banner Stands, Exhibiting Strategy, Trade Show Accessories / 3 Comments

Dash Literature Banner StandAre you having trouble distributing literature at trade shows? This may have something to do with the design of your literature, but more often than not exhibitors struggle with distribution because their literature is presented in an unattractive way. The Dash Literature Banner Stand combines traditional banner stands with literature stands to produce a unique and attractive alternative.

Each system has a large graphic banner with three literature pockets below. Each literature pocket can hold 8.5″ x 11″ brochures, and the banner graphic is 31.5″ wide x 44.5″ high. The graphic is placed under tension using a flexible aluminum pole.

If you have any questions about the Dash Literature Banner Stand or any of our other literature racks, please visit call 877.663.3976 or email sales@moddisplays.com.

Entasi DisplayCheck out our Entasi display video today!

MODdisplays offers a wide variety of Entasi tension fabric display kits, and each kit comes with its own unique configuration of accessories such as monitor mounts, literature holders, product shelves, stand-off graphics, and trade show counters. Despite the versatility of our Entasi displays, they are inexpensive and lightweight when compared with other portable exhibit systems on the market. The structure of these displays is made from anodized aluminum tubing with patented quick-lock connectors for easy setup. The aluminum tubing is shock-corded together whenever necessary so that exhibitors will have no trouble assembling the booth in a matter of minutes.

Entasi graphics are produced using a process called dye sublimation. This process essentially burns your image into a durable, washable fabric graphic that is guaranteed never to wrinkle or fade. The fabric wraps all the way around the aluminum structure, allowing for a snug fit every time. The graphic can be cleaned in any standard washing machine using a mild detergent on the gentlest cycle. To remove stubborn smudges, simply take your graphic to the nearest dry cleaner.

MODdisplays offers free graphic design and free custom renderings for every Entasi booth we offer. Most companies require that you place your order long before you know what your finished booth will look like, but MODdisplays will show you a detailed image of your trade show exhibit before you agree to purchase. Although we offer a wide variety of pre-configured Entasi packages, Entasi displays and accessories are also available a la carte, which allows you to build your own system from scratch.

truss display exhibitMODdisplays has drastically reduced prices on all of its truss display packages. We are proud to offer the lowest prices in the industry on every orbital truss system, including our complete line of 10′ x 10′, 10′ x 20′, and 20′ x 20′ truss exhibits. Each package comes complete with the necessary hardware, graphics, and shipping cases to create a unique look for your next event.

Truss displays are extremely durable thanks to their tubular steel construction, and with proper care your truss system may be the last exhibit you ever need to purchase. Despite their rugged design, orbital truss systems still maintain many of the advantages of modern portable exhibits. There are numerous accessory options available for use with your truss booths including monitor mounts, literature holders, shelving units, and slat walls.

All of our truss graphics are dye sublimated fabric. This advanced printing process essentially burns your image into a durable, washable fabric graphic that is guaranteed never to wrinkle or fade. These graphics can be folded in storage to take up minimal space. In addition to the printing of your graphics, MODdisplays also offers free graphic design with the purchase of any truss display system. Our unique process ensures that your graphic presence sends a powerful message at your next trade show.

Last Minute Shipping Options

MODdisplays Information / No Comments

At MODdisplays, we boast the fastest turnaround times in the portable trade show display industry. Even if you need a trade show display for your event that takes place tomorrow, chances are good that we can accommodate your needs. It is not uncommon for MODdisplays to pick up the slack when other companies have failed to produce or ship a trade show booth on time. We understand that trade shows are time sensitive events with a lot of money on the line, and we strive to get the job done even in high-pressure situations.

Although we recommend planning your trade show display months in advance, we understand that it is often necessary to ship trade show booths at the last minute. When you absolutely must have your exhibit for a show that takes place tomorrow, there is still plenty of time to get your project finished. MODdisplays regularly ships trade show booths directly to conferences or hotels for our clients to pick up at the last second before the show begins.

Every trade show display we sell can be assembled completely within an hour, which means that even if you receive your booth on the same day the show begins, you won’t lose precious time trying to set up a complicated exhibit with poor directions. If another exhibit company fails to meet your deadline, give MODdisplays a chance and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

CES 2009 Comes to a Close

Exhibitors and attendees both noticed that CES had a much smaller and more relaxed feeling this year compared to 2008, but many show-stopping products were unveiled this year. According to Engadget’s CES Article, Palm stole the show, but HDTV-related gadgets were also a big draw at CES 2009.

One of the most interesting products I saw was the 50-inch multitouch TV from Samsung. Although I couldn’t think of any practical uses for this device, it was definitely a lot of fun watching people play with images and use the built in chalkboard. Like almost every product at the Consumer Electronics Show, the TV was outlandish and impractical, but isn’t that what defines CES after all?

Although CES was smaller than usual this year, it wasn’t near as small or under-attended as many experts predicted. The trade show industry still appears to be going strong despite the downturn in the American economy. With the prospect of Apple exhibiting at CES in 2010, the biggest of all trade shows should get even bigger next year.

Upload Your Graphic Files

Posted by Heather Jordan on January 12, 2009
MODdisplays Information, Trade Show Graphics / No Comments

MODdisplays uses advanced project management systems to ensure that your trade show display arrives on time and looks exactly as you expected. By repeating the same procedures for every exhibit we produce, we minimize mistakes. Our returning clients are confident in our system because they know exactly what to expect. Trade shows are stressful enough without any contribution from MODdisplays, so we keep our clients informed and in updated about the status of their trade show booth.

Uploading your graphic files is only one aspect of our overall project management system, but despite its simple appearance, our graphics uploader is very advanced when compared with that of other trade show companies. When you upload your graphics to our website, you must include your company’s name, your email address, and your phone number. As soon as your file is processed by our uploader, emails are dispatched to the graphic designer who has been assigned to your project, and your information is dropped directly into our project management system for easy access.

Your graphic files are usually reviewed by one of our graphic designers within an hour, and you’ll receive a customize e-proof to approve that will show you the layout of your graphics and highlight any areas that may cause problems when your exhibit is printed. We never print files until your company has approved our e-proofs, which ensures that no mistakes are made in the printing process. Many of our competitors will print files as they are received, but at MODdisplays our graphic design services are completely free, so we will offer your company design support in any way you need it.

If you have any questions about uploading your graphics or graphic guidelines, please email graphics@moddisplays.com or call 877.MOD.EXPO.
